I am at Pine and 3rd in Seattle on "X" walking around and talking to Fentanyl addicts, it is sad. Most of the people on the street doing Fentanyl are in Low Barrier Housing where they are allowed to do drugs.
ENDORSEMENTS
Personal endorsement from David Leong,
President of Seattle Chinese American Chamber of Commerce. I will always remember a conversation with him where he praised America being a melting pot, a phrase that I believe in but seldom hear.
They are against permitting drugs and alcohol in homeless facilities as is allowed in the current "LOW BARRIER HOUSING" & "HOUSING FIRST" models.
Representing the interests of gay and lesbian persons. They believe in the core values of limited government, individual liberty, personal responsibility, free markets and a strong national defense. The members I have spoken to are against giving kids drugs to transition them from their born sex before they are 18.

They are against the State of WA discriminating based on race for WA State school admissions and WA State employment.
Candidate WA State 41st District State Representative Pos. 2
I moved to the Seattle area in 1991 with my wife Wafa and two children. I am a retired Boeing Engineer (retired 2014). I am a hands on owner/manager of commercial office and retail property. I believe that a WA State representative should spend taxpayer money the way they would spend their own money.
I believe you should treat a stranger as if they were a friend, I learned a lot from the Samoans on my two trips to American Samoa. The photo is from my second trip in 2015 with my wife Wafa in the red dress to my right. Everywhere I went they treated me as if I were one of them.
Addressing the alarming rise in gun crimes and gun deaths requires a multifaceted approach that focuses on both prevention and accountability. The State must enact stricter laws and enforcement measures to ensure that individuals who commit gun-related offenses face appropriate consequences. This includes implementing mandatory long sentences for gun crimes, as well as a one-year mandatory sentence for carrying a concealed gun without a permit (making an exception for a recently expired permit) to discourage criminals from carrying guns.
A prime example of the need for stronger penalties is the tragic January 2020 shooting at Pike Place Market in Seattle, where two gang members opened fire during rush hour, injuring seven innocent bystanders and claiming one life. Shockingly, the longest sentence given to any of the shooters was a mere four years in prison. This incident highlights the critical issue of repeat offenders being allowed back on the streets, as both shooters had been involved in a drive-by shooting just eighteen months prior.
To effectively combat gun violence, we must prioritize the safety and well-being of our communities by implementing comprehensive measures that deter criminal behavior and provide support for those in need. By doing so, we can work towards a future where such devastating events are a thing of the past.
The current approach to Low Barrier Housing, where drug use is permitted within facilities provided by organizations like Plymouth Housing in Seattle, Bellevue, and Redmond, has proven ineffective and even harmful. As demonstrated in the video linked below, individuals like Mike, a homeless person interviewed, tragically overdosed and passed away in his room just two months after the footage was captured.
It is evident that a new strategy is needed to address the complex issue of homelessness and drug addiction. The State should invest in facilities that offer required comprehensive, evidence-based treatment programs for those struggling with addiction. The ultimate goal of these programs should be to reunite individuals with their families or friends, free from the grip of addiction and equipped with the necessary support to rebuild their lives.
By providing required, compassionate care and prioritizing long-term recovery, we can work towards a more humane and effective solution to the homelessness crisis.

I respect the voter's decision on controversial issues like abortion rights, which were settled by Washington voters in 1991 through the Initiative process. Given the Initiative process, voters have the final say, and the abortion issue should not be a decisive factor when choosing between a Republican or Democrat candidate. Instead, other issues like safety and wasteful spending should be considered.
Indeed, the current abortion law could benefit from clearer language. The term "viability" is too ambiguous and should be replaced with a more specific timeframe, such as a defined number of weeks into the pregnancy. This would provide greater clarity and consistency in the application of the law.
In my opinion, an extreme ban on abortion would not be supported by the voters, and terminating a healthy pregnancy in the final weeks is morally wrong. However, I respect and support the will of the people, as determined by the Initiative process. I would propose any changes to the abortion law should be voted on by the people.
I disagree with My-Linh Thai's stance on this issue.
Unlike My-Linh Thai, I am committed to addressing the issue of addiction and crime through a compassionate and effective approach. By advocating for compulsory treatment, we can save lives, reduce crime rates, and ensure that our resources are used efficiently to combat homelessness in Washington State.
In contrast, My-Linh Thai has not presented any concrete solutions to these pressing issues. This was evident at the 2022 Issaquah political forum and Mercer Island Reporter, where you can watch the full debate starting at the 7:20 minute mark. In my opening statement, I emphasize the importance of providing analytical solutions to problems, drawing on my experience as an Aircraft Structural engineer. My comments at the Issaquah debate and in the Mercer Island Reporter refer to the original HB1054, changes have been made to the law after my comments. The link in the Mercer Island Reporter is to the current amended law. I believe that a direct and honest approach is necessary to tackle the complex challenges we face, and I am dedicated to working tirelessly to achieve tangible results for our community.
